Back in November last year we ran a competition across all the Pele Trust schools in Northumberland. Students were given the challenge to ‘Create a Geordie Banger’.

James, age 8, was our winner with the ‘Sycamore Sizzler’. Inspired by the sycamore Gap Tree and its location on Hadrian’s wall, James chose a blend of honey, mustard and nettle, these unique flavours pay homage to the Roman influences.

This week James visited the Geordie Banger factory to witness his creation being made and he labelled the first pack ! James also had a chance to sample the final product (and approve it) before it goes on sale !

Not only will this NEW flavour be available online, in our shops and all our markets from this weekend. This sausage will also be on the Pele Trust School Menu’s very soon
